Design Shanghai, Asia’s leading international design event, is proud to announce the launch of the Design Shanghai Collectible exhibition. This highly anticipated event will take place at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from October 31st to November 2nd, 2024 and will attract interior designers and architects, art and design collectors, real estate developers and hotel groups all seeking innovative design concepts and new collections.

 

 

As the pursuit of personalisation in modern living spaces deepens, the demand for collectible art and design pieces continues to rise. Consequently, designers increasingly incorporate art pieces to enhance both residential and commercial projects. Design Shanghai Collectible will showcase a curated selection of limited-edition artworks, including painting, sculpture, installation art, photography, furniture, and crafts. This exhibition will foster collaboration in design and art, highlighting the growing significance of collectible design and art within the industry.

Adrian Choi Design Studio

 

Leading collectible galleries will showcase works from multiple categories including painting, sculpture, installation art, and photography. Exhibitor highlights for the 2024 show will include: Adrian Choi Design Studio, specialising in contemporary design with a focus on craftsmanship and design; Sailing Space, dedicated to engaging with contemporary art through professional expertise; ISLE Gallery, which focuses on emerging forces in contemporary art and strives to present forward-looking artistic language; and Yanshan Art Museum in Jingdezhen, founded by contemporary ceramic artist Li Yanxun.

The launch of Design Shanghai Collectible was celebrated last week during Design Shanghai with a dinner at 5SENSES in collaboration with Shanghai-based gallery Jinjing.
